Clothespin Wreath!

For some reason my laundry room was ignored. The walls are empty, top of the storage cabinet need some decor and overall it needs some paint (to brighten the room)!

Well, “Project Laundry Room” has to start with something and here it is 🙂

IMG_0842I love this Pinterest inspired clothespin Wreath and most important it is related to this room 😉

If you decide to try your hand at this easy peasy project, all you spend is $4 and 30 minutes.

You need:

Clothespin  – 2 packs of 36 from Dollar tree – $2

12″ Cardboard Wreath – from carton box already on hand-$0

Faux flowers  from Dollar store – $2

Yarn/Twine/Ribbon – already on hand – $0

Cardstock and a metallic sharpie – $0

How you make:

Start by cutting the cardboard in the shape of wreath.  Pin the clothespin around the cardboard wreath working in sections. You may need less or more depending on the size you create.

After clipping them all, it didn’t go well with our dark storage cabinets and I decided to stain.

To stain and change the color of the wood, I added a pinch of black and brown acrylic to water and stained to get a little darker shade.

Lastly, since this is going to be in the laundry room made a little triangle bunting. To make the bunting I’ve chosen a dark color card stock and a piece of yarn. Used the silver sharpie marker to write down the letters on each triange.

And with the 2 cute faux flowers, the wreath is ready to hang it on the wall or door.

Isn’t that easy and that little stain has such a great difference and it is just perfect for that room:-)

I can’t wait to finish the rest of the projects and have the pretty laundry room I was hoping for!

Happy Crafting!

Hi, I am very delighted that you stopped by! Welcome to Creative ME!!! I 'm a wife to an amazing hubby and recently mother to an adorable little munchkin :-), an Asian(Indian) native, nomad for a while and now currently @Portland, Oregan. Recently relocated from The Grand Canyon State and still adjusting to the gloomy weather here... When we first we moved to US(2012) ,our first 2 months of accommodation was in a hotel and that's when everything started. You must be wondering HOW? I was introduced to HGTV and started reading craft blogs. Ohh yes, PINTERST toooo and that is my fav! Well, inspired from these places, I started to DIY on budget and decorate our home. Whenever I posted pics of my projects on Facebook, everyone loved and gave many positive comments. Some of them also said I should not look for a job, instead start a blog or sell some of my projects ;) They thought I was doing something very cool!! That was a great motivation and I decided to tickle my creative senses to tame the stress monster ;-) And then, one day here is my blog , where I share my ideas and projects with friends, family and all other aspiring DIY-er's :) And if you like my blog, please come back and also don't forget to tell your friends :) Lastly, if you have a fun and functional craft or project or even a simple recipe I want to hear….please let me know and I can feature, down the line we will make Creative ME to WE..;)
